Wall-E

Jen and I took Zoe to see Wall-E on opening day with my dad on opening day (06/27 - yeah, ok, so this is a little late). Zoe had a pretty good time, though anything over 30mins puts her to a bit over the limit, but it is a fun experience and she still gets in free, so that is cool.

I thought it was the best Pixar film to date and certainly the most "adult" in nature about the polar opposite of the talking characters in CARS; this was very real, in the sense that they humanized the robots and the story was very moving. As my Pops said at one point, "you almost forget that it is a CGI film." The print, on the other hand sucked and the last reel had a ten minute section where the bottom horizontal fifth of the picture was on the top and made a chase scene very confusing. I sent an e-mail to Penn (the owner) complaining about it and I have some free tickets waiting for us at the box office now. Score! Bring on The Dark Knight....
